Message of the Head of Department
Universities form the basis of qualified manpower with the education and training they provide. Postgraduate education, on the other hand, is the focal point in the training of the scientist resource on which this foundation is built. The place of postgraduate education is therefore important and different. The Master of Architecture with Thesis Education is structured in the light of the views that argue that any scientific problem about architecture should be open to a logical solution in order to teach doctrines and universal truths rationally and systematically. In this context, the scientific researches handled during education; Architectural Theory and Criticism, Architectural Education, Cognitive Processes in Architecture, Technology and Architecture Research, Urban Space Research, Socio-Cultural Research, Cinema and Space Research, Design Methods and Applications, Architectural History, Cultural-Archaeological Heritage and Conservation, Building Physics and Applications , Building Systems and Materials Research, Energy Efficient Design, Sustainable Architecture, Principles Regarding Professional Organization in Architecture, Analysis of the Perspectives of Construction Management, and the transformation of up-to-date knowledge as a result of comparing the results with universal criteria.
In this sense, our graduate education, which has been continuing since 2016; While contributing to the production process of architectural knowledge, it aims to increase the originality and international quality of the researches carried out and the knowledge produced. The fact that the information produced during and after thesis research is accessible by sharing with everyone is important in terms of the universality of the knowledge, on the other hand, the contribution of increasing the interaction between theory and practice to the "value creation" bears the belief that success can be achieved by harmonizing the practice of academia and architecture.
